Being a man is hard….

You are expected to carry it all, be strong, show up no matter what, and feel nothing. You always have to figure everything out and never flinch. But you are human; there is only so much you can take on and carry. You push down your emotions, tell everyone you are “fine”, when in reality you are drowning, you are struggling, you are hurting. But even holding it in is becoming too much now. You are at your breaking point. You are angry at the world and how unkind it has been to you. You are tired of never catching a break. You are exhausted from putting on a mask and pretending everything is ok. You are done fighting the same battles and getting nowhere. You don’t want therapy, you want solutions. You don’t want to just talk about your feelings, you want to figure out how to have a life with less stress and more happiness. You know something has to change but you aren’t sure what to do.

I help men, like you, who are tired of holding it all in and exhausted from life wearing you down, navigate stress, tough times, and emotional burnout without feeling weak or judged. I offer a space that “gets it”, where you can unpack the weight you’ve been carrying without shame and regain control of your life. While we can’t control the storm you are in, we can control the actions and attitudes you take in getting through it.

What got you here

Much of what we struggle with in the present is rooted in people and experiences from our past. You are not your past but your past has shaped who you are today. Whether it’s what people said to you, how they made you feel, or how they behaved, those experiences stick with you and impact your self esteem, beliefs, mindsets, habits, and attitudes as and adult. Together, we will work through and explore the people and experiences that hurt you and impact you today.

What are you doing that you know you shouldn’t be doing? What are you not doing that you know you should be doing? Many of us know the answers to these questions but have a hard time “doing the thing”. Together, we will work towards finding out exactly what is holding you back and work on adopting the habits, mindsets, and attitudes that align with the the life you want and person you want to be.

But for change to be meaningful and worth the pursuit, there needs to be a ‘why’.   • Beyond simply being a man and understanding the struggles and difficulties, I have immense experience working with males in a wide array of settings with an even wider array of goals and struggles. My balanced approach of solution-focused and caring

  • The term psychotherapy is derived from the ancient Greek words psyche meaning soul and therapia meaning healing. At its core, therapy is a process of healing oneself from the inside (thoughts, beliefs, and feelings) out (behaviors). With me, therapy is an honest, grounded conversation where we work on understanding, healing, and improving your internal world so that your external world is everything you want and more.

  • To get started, we will schedule an introductory session where we will focus on building rapport, discuss what you hope to get out of therapy, and answer any questions you may have. From there we will build a personalized treatment plan based on your goals, strengths, and interests.

  • If you’re alive, you can get better. It’s never too late. Regardless of what brings you here, therapy can absolutely help you. Nothing is too big or too small for therapy. Therapy can help you heal from lifelong trauma and struggles. Therapy can help you get through a difficult time and process all that is going on. Therapy can also help you develop mental and emotional skills to enhance your life, relationships, career, and much more.
